| I'm constantly looking for new gadgets to stick on my sidebar. I want to be able to glance at the side of my screen and know everything I need to know about the condition of my laptop. It took me a long time to get it the way I want it. However, I don't think it's perfect, and will change things around as people make newer and better gadgets. The reason I added this topic is that I want to see what other people are using, so maybe I can get some better ideas of what to stick there. Maybe some of you will like my ideas as well. Anywho, here's my sidebar as it looks now, with notes: ![]() Däch |

| If you are having flash drive or zip drive you can use one of new feature of Window vista which is called memory booster. This will allow you to add temporary memory in RAM. Your system will become unbelievable fast. I had tried till 8 GB flash drive and it works pretty good. I haven't tried it with external USB hard drive. You can try with that and see if it impact speed of your operating system. |

I wanted to install ubuntu on my 2gb flash drive, it wasn't big enough, yet it is bigger enough to fit the installer on a 700mb cd, it's amazing to see how compression has advanced.
