Hey Chris want to work together? I'm not too savvy about website designing since it was never my area of extreme interest, but I can help a little here and there

I don't think the home page should be used though, it's Xavier's area ;D I think we could add an extra "Online Magazine" section or something in the Tutorials section.

And Vipralion, thanks for the link

I doubt you would have gone through with utilizing the contest to provide a quick launch to the Notebooks.com forums unless you had plans in store for them so I'm curious!!

It's kind of nice being here at the start of a forum like this though. Be interesting to see how things go.

Edit: Just wanted to mention AListApart, an online web magazine, as a bit of an example of what a web magazine looks like. Tis a very fancy site that I've been reading for years. Great articles for web devs. Have you heard of it Chris?
AListApart, no I have never been to it, I have heard of it somewhere I think, but yeah, I was thinking a realistic look of a tech magazine in website form, possibly a mixture of flash and html - just as an optional thing to visit, see how many people like the idea, it's worth a shot!

I am still working on the design, I kinda had little time last night after school to work on it, but I'll defiantly try to get something done today or tomorrow - today might be a little hard too, so probably tomorrow

sure, everybody in the community could help out, lol, built for the community by the community!
If Xavier thinks it would be good posting things there, I guess he could, I personally was thinking a separate magazine tab or something like that - I have a specific idea in my head, you'll see once I get an image uploaded today/tomorrow

Yeah, I was thinking about a seperate tab, it's easier that way.
I'll be waiting for the pic
And Xavier will have to host the site, hoping it's OK
Should we have it different or same as the notebooks.com layout though... hmmm.

That was the point of me making a picture up to Xavier if he wants to use his own.

Also, I am happy to host it, but if Xavier wants to have it as a subdomain, magazine.notebooks.com or something like that, that's also up to him

I think it should be part of the noteooks.com domain, since we're doing this for notebooks.com. No sense in making a different domain.

I see... but where's the picture??

I agree too, but maybe how there is a subdomain for the forums (forums.notebooks.com) maybe magazine.notebooks.com would suite it well?
I am off to school now, I can't work on it tonight very much, I have HEAPS of Maths homework and English, possibly even more today. Gotta love it when you have been sick and missed out on almost a week of school :-/

Anyway, I'll work on it at school at lunch time if I can
Expect a picture on Friday or Saturday(which if you are in the US, that would probably be Thursday or Friday)
Sorry, been snowed under.

EDIT: I'm off to school now, eep going to be late if I stay here.

I have 8 pages of homework, have to clear my computer and have a whole bunch of other stuff to do, as of Tuesday I will be back in the forums

And this idea is going on, I have the files, I haven't worked on them enough though to have something that I am happy with, I actually have been working on it at school lunch times.

It sucks that heaps of people have left, in my youtube clips I'll be asking people to check out the forums, maybe that will help.

This feels like a monthly newsletter based on articles created by the "in" news to the notebooks.com community. Kind of like a college newspaper, it will need personal journalism and editting.

(Interesting to see how a newspaper kind of works. I watched an episode of MTV's The Paper.)
