This UpdateChecker is like a free version of VersionTrackerPro, except you can immediately download what you find is updated. FileHippo has the most common popular software available for download, and it includes beta. To name a few... CCleaner, foobar2000, Firefox, 7-Zip, WinRar, Filezilla, FlashGet, Audacity, etc...
There's a standalone version as well as a installation version. Only difference is that the installed version can monitor your software in real-time and notify you of an update.
Very handy if you have lots of common popular software and you want a convenient way to see what's in beta and update.

Ive been using a lot of file hippo's programs. Like the cc cleaner, I probably use almost every day. Its an easy to learn program which helps you clean the computer and the registery with the click of a button. It also has the remove tool which shows some programs to unninstall that the add or remove thing in control panel doesnt.
