Hey how's it going. I'm here to talk about Spybot. Now Spybot is a freeware program offered on the web that identifies, blocks, and quarantines any spyware that may have infested your pc from browsing the internet. Thre are a few things discuss about the program, namely it's 4 features: "search & destroy", "recovery", "immunize" and "update".

Now most of these are pretty straight forward such so I'll discuss a little bit about the 2 more confusing options. First off, "immunize" is a nifty option which allows the user to use options within their web browser to activate and protect against spyware. You'll also have the choice to choose which options in which browsers you would like to activate. Secondly, "recovery" is an option used to make changes to the system after a correction to the registry or system after the removal and/or quaratine of spyware. In other words, this is a form of system restore that Spybot makes available to the user.

I've been using this quite a while and they constantly update their database. It's a pleasant and easy way to protect yourself against these forms of malware.
