Been using this a long time, don't know why I haven't shared it until now.
EULAlyzer is a simple copy and paste of a self-detecting EULA/privacy policy analyzer. It skims the passage for any "suspicious" words and alerts you to their level.

Awesome for you lazy people that just click through the Next, Continue, and I Accept buttons without even knowing what you're getting into. :P

You also have the option of sending the EULAs to their research center so they can better improve the keyword technology.

There's also a Pro level, although you just get automatic scanning of EULAs. However, I don't think that's really needed, since I find the crosshairs fun

I usually scan through the EULA of any program I install to see if there are any bits that mention installing third party software (adware) as a requirement. Programs like that can be pretty dangerous as they might not be easily removed, and can cause you a lot of headache.

I assume that EULAlyzer does this for you automatically though. How does the program work? Does it run in your system tray all the time or do you simply launch the program when you're installing new software?

I actually remember a tech blog posting an article about a guy who won some prize for doing something that was hidden away in the EULA. Send an email to this addy and you'll receive this prize. Was pretty neat! Of course, not likely to happen again. My calc 2 teacher actually hid a note in the 4 page syllabus at the beginning of last semester. If we sent an email to him mentioning it we'd get 5 extra credit points. Wish more professors were as enthusiastic about what they do as he was. Had some pretty interesting facts and knowledge about calculus, and the history of mathematics.

ANYWAY! lol. Do let me know how useful it's been for ya. How often you use it, how manageable it is, and how much it's worth having it. You know... the sort of things you can only learn about a program after using it for a while.

It scans for suspicious keywords like third-party installations, advertising, website addresses, etc.

You need to open it manually although the Pro version watches automatically for you.

It's been pretty useful for scanning the essays of EULAs and privacy policies of software that are less common and popular. While I don't use it for, say, things like Microsoft products and the popular safe software, I do scan if it's something like suspicious freeware applications.

And I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a little higher level of safeguard for EULAs and privacy policies. Otherwise I wouldn't have posted it

The Federal Reserve announced a new program to help the battered market for short-term business loans - taking its closest step yet to lending directly to businesses.The program addresses commercial paper, a form of short-term funding that is crucial to many businesses operations."The Treasury believes this facility is necessary to prevent substantial disruptions to the financial markets and the economy and will make a special deposit at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in support of this facility," the Fed stated.Commercial paper is sold by major corporations and most of the nation's leading financial institutions. They use the proceeds to fund day-to-day business operations.
