| I recently found a great software called Vixy that allows you to convert YouTube files to many different formats. For example, you can use it to download a YouTube video and convert it to .MP4 format and add it to your iPod or another Video player. This program converts files to .AVI, .MOV, .3GP,.MP4, and .MP3. It can be downloaded for free at vixy.net : Online FLV Converter : Download online videos direct to PC / iPod / PSP. It's free!.

| Naaa......SAVE2PC is the best! save2pc Light is a free tool that downloads videos from Youtube or Google Video and saves it as Avi or Mpeg or Flv file to your local computer. ![]() save2pc allows you to easily grab and save desired youtube video. The user interface of save2pc is very simple, so you don't need any technical knowledge to use it. No need to use scripts for web browsers. Just run save2pc and start downloading! It supports not only Youtube, but many other online video hosting services. And the pro version is really great, you can schedule downloading of vids as well as bulk downloading! I bought this app and i am really satisfied with it! |

| This is actually a really good topic for me. For awhile now I haven't been able to download youtube video footage of places and things I've done that others have uploaded. So thanks for the information. It'll be put to good use.

Why not just use Download ANY YouTube Video and then add &fmt=18 onto the end of the url and download the MP4 at YouTube High Quality. Best of all, you aren't putting software on your PC

| I actually use Video DownloadHelper for embedded videos. Works everytime like a charm ![]() There's also an excellent Zamzar option, but it doesn't have as many supported websites as Video Downloadhelper. But Zamzar will automatically convert to the most common formats ![]()

| The software I mentioned in this topic is free, it works, and it's easy to use! All you need to do is enter in the YouTube URL and choose the conversion format you want your YouTube video to be converted in to. Chris: The website you mentioned does download YouTube videos, but that downloads them in .FLV format and does not convert them. This is why I posted this conversion tool here. It finds the download link and also converts it. ![]()
