What you mean? Your CPU overheats? He can run windows and firefox or IE but not windows and the screen capture tool? Firefox is 3 times heavier then screen capture...

Yes, but my graphics card isn't strong enough, that's why it takes me 50 minutes to render a 640 x 480 at 15fps h.264 .mov 10 mins in length.

Recording isn't that heavy, I guess. Even if you have an onboard graphics card that is some years old.

Seems like the screen capture tool is realy a good one. It's free and seems to have some interesting features.
What about the screen quality?

This is off-topic?
You're right SnagIt isn't free. In my reply to jazboy, I did say that you can try a trial version and purchase it for $40 if you like it.

The screen quality is great! Try it for yourself and see.

Snagit is actually pretty memory intensive. I just either use the standard PrtScrn and do editing in Paint.NET. There's also a built-in screen capture in XnView, and I heard that Gadwin Printscreen is pretty good.
