Default What's the BEST FREE Music Player - WinAmp Review + More!

Alright folks, I absolutely LOVE listening to my music, I just love it, what's more I like are the players that play the music, I personally can't decide which one, single player I like best, I wish there was one with all the features that are at the moment exclusive to each of the players below exclusive out of the 4 players listed):

1)Windows Media Player has great visualizations
2)iTunes has the awesome interface and music management system, plus cover flow
3)Media Monkey has the ability to download album art with ease and also has a great music management system
4)Winamp tends to have a cool interface with a web browser and also seems to allow me to have MUCH better sound quality than all the other music players, headphones regardless, it also allows me to use ShoutCast

So what I want to know folks, is what is YOUR favourite music player of all time and WHY is it your favourite music player?

I personally like winamp mainly for these reasons:

1) Interface - the interface on winamp is absolutely s-l-e-e-k, I prefer the new one to the old one personally. It's dark and shiny and looks really cool, it also has mini visualizations in the time bar, which are based on the wave form of the track, you can also have bigger visualizations too.

2) Functionality - yes, of course you wouldn't really want to use winamp as your default or dedicated web browser, but it comes in handy when you want to check something quickly and you don't want to open more applications, it's saves a bit of resources in SOME ways, hogs in another

3) Sound Quality - Winamp for some reason tends to give me more bass and yet more clarity when listening to my songs, unlike WMP, iTunes and any other music player I have tried. For this, I use it as much as possible.

Overall, I give winamp an 8 out of 10, I wish it loaded faster on my computer. Media Monkey and iTunes come in VERY CLOSE next with a draw! And then finally windows media player, I'm sorry, it's just too slow for me :-/

I just love the better audio quality.

Anyway folks, I hope you enjoyed that little review, let me know what your favorite music player is (I also use VLC when opening one file due to its super fast loading.) List your reasons why and hopefully we can start a bit of conversation here, because if there is one thing people can't dislike, in my opinion, it has to be music - nobody can dislike ALL music, it's unnatural.

I'm currently using Windows Media Player. It can offer what I need, so I don't see why I should upgrade.
I don't think the music quality can better then Windows Media Player...

I never heard about Media Monkey? You can tell something more about this music player?

I am tired as heck, but I'll link you to their website, it's an awesome program, defiantly worth a try!

As for sound can't be any better than WMP, I guess it depends what kinda music, I like Metal, Techno, Rock, Disco, Trance and more, I love the BASS more than anything and WinAmp seems to, well WinAmplify my tracks

UPDATE: I just went to their site, WOW! New theme and everything, I gotsta upgrade

I like themes they give you the experience, whether you change them or not.

Audio quality is the same. If you're talking about equalizers (rock, bass, pop, classic, etc) almost any media player can do that.

That's the equalizer for you ;D Any media player has options to change it.

Thumbs up Wmp, Ftw.

If you're a Windows user, WMP 11 wins hands-down! I've tried Winamp, Rhapsody, and iTunes but other than using iTunes to load songs to my iPod, nothing beats the integration of WMP for me. I liked the WMP 10 UI but they really did some EXCELLENT UI work with WMP 11! I always found it to be a bit stupid that the EU made Microsoft provide copies of Windows without WMP in them due to "monopolizing the audio/video application market". I mean, a good application is a good application and if it weren't for Microsoft DEVELOPING their freakin' OS, there would be absolutely NO market at all! (Well, I'm sure someone would've done something where Microsoft wouldn't have but that's beside the point)

Long story short, if I'm going to buy a product like Windows, I want all the added value I can get and if that includes a very stylish media player that provides tons of functionality, then I'll take it - even if I decide I don't want to use it! I do understand what it means for businesses to be at somewhat of a disadvantage but I'm speaking of this from a consumer standpoint. Now, if I'm a developer trying to develop a media player to charge people to use on Windows, then yes, I would favor the EU's decision... but I'm not. I'm just a Windows enthusiast who's happy with WMP.
