Unhappy HELP: Windows Movie Maker

Hi, I don't really know where to post this, but I need to (amazingly) use Windows Movie Maker, it's never really worked for me on any computer, always crashed, but does any body know how to fix the problem in the video I posted ages ago below?
Thanks in advance.

Chris, I've never encountered such a problem before. I recommend reinstalling your version of Windows Movie Maker. I don't think it can be uninstalled, so you will have to install over it. Just download Windows Movie Maker from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...viemaker2.mspx and try installing that.

Thanks
I wasn't sure if there was a quick fix, I am on 128kbps at the moment, I get my speed back in less than 12 hours though, so whoopee! lol. Thanks

BTW, I think I need to upgrade anyway, I am still stuck on (if it were included with) SP2 from years ago.

EDIT: no, 2.1 was included on SP2, shame they haven't updated :/

Maybe you have delete some files without knowing or your virus scanner did this. Re-installing would solve the problem. Although I cannot guarantee that!

AVG would be pretty good though, like WMMaker has been around for ages.

liar? not at all! i try to use windows movie maker and it crashes,
although for me its when i add credits or pictures to the timeline. it doesnt even give me the error though, it just quits
unfortunately about half the people that use wmm on a regular basis complain about it, with no luck ever solving the problem
right now im using videospin, the interface looks exactly like windows movie maker, except with much better options for fonts

Ya, can't remember if I explained in the video, but somebody was saying I was a liar about WMMaker crashing before it really even opens.

Is VideoSpin free? Thanks for the tip

Thanks
My ISP should have put my speed back up, but they haven't, grrr, they put the speed down the second we go over our limit, but when it works in our favor, they don't bother to help.

The size of the program is 149 Megabytes. I can download @ 300kb/s which is my maximum.
