AHEM...<_< If you're Bill Gates, don't read above.

As for copying, they're trying to implement the very same ideas that make the other browsers popular, like REAL compliance to HTML and website standards (forget that word...>_<), crash recovery, small snapshot of the website, etc. popular. Otherwise, why make new ideas that has a chance to fail anyways?
You forgot to name the tabs. IE7 has also tabs now.

Took them over 4 years too.. grr, that was one of the main things that turned me away when I first had a look at both.
I think they should recode the basic GUI, its really bulky and spaced out.

I am not looking for a fight, only an intelligent discussion.

Afterall, how can anybody rightfully claim to unbiased and then state their hate in the very same sentence, albeit separated by a semicolon?

Also, what use is a forum if you can't have intelligent dicussions/debates? I don't see how you can make much progression towards a real community of unique personalities if all everyone ever does is make posts where they say, "I agree, let's be friends!"?

And no, I'm not looking for flame wars at all. I post regularly on the forums at zunerama.com and there is a very healthy amount of discussions with perspectives from all sides. It's like how things went in the first Matrix. It was built to be perfect, to provide absolute perfection to the humans attached, but it failed, because without conflict, opposition, humans can't survive! Uhh... lol.

Considering that a considerable portion of Firefox's attractiveness relies on its plug-ins, it's fair to consider IE8 with the IE7Pro addon to be a totally comparable browser to FF. IE even has features not offered by Firefox such as web slices and activities !

I wasn't saying you were picking one I meant I think I can see an argument could erupt.

I also agree, (wait, does that mean I have no personality :-p j/k) that we should have debates, the way you worded it seemed to me that it could be interpreted in the wrong way

I use both IE & Firefox but i prefer FF3.It's faster, more stable & doesn't crash quite offen like IE when you open multiple tabs or websites. Also, FF has the capability to add a huge number of add-ons or plug-ins & more configurable than IE.I'm yet to find an embedded video downloader (from youtube etc) in IE.So, when i need to download an Youtube video, i use the Download Helper plug-in in Firefox 3.

Alas, tis always the problem with text. You can never get the true feel for how someone is saying something and so misinterpretation is to be expected occasionally. Like if I said, I love you Chris! You have no idea if I said it with the utmost passion or if I said it silly. Of course I'm pretty sure you know that I'd be saying it with the utmost passion for you. Ha! Just kidding.

Ooh, smilies do work to an extent to alleviate the emotionless text though! But then again... how is a poem emotionless? Weaving thoughts of glory, fortune, or despair... the words speaking to the heart of who you are, evoking a mysterious new feeling. The indulgence, the madness, the very nature... of.. the written word. Tada!

Hey, check out [url=http://ie7pro.com]IE7Pro[/ur]. Works with IE7 as well as IE8 and provides download scripts for YouTube.. heck it'll even add a link directly to the YouTube page for you to download it!

Addons ftw!

All opinions are biased. It's not a preconceived conception, it just HAPPENS. I mean, there'd be no reason to start spewing @)#*%)*^! if nothing was wrong. <_<
Define open-minded, please. Why must you impress your values onto me? It's not like your opinions are more justified than mine.

Firefox goes by about 92%
Opera 95%

Speed is much better on FF 3 RC1
Security, FF is MUCH MUCH better, customization ability goes to Firefox too, they have a brilliant community.

The list goes on and on.
plus they fixed all the memory leaks but Firefox is the better browser. if only IE could learn from them
