In my opinion Microsoft Office 2007 is very good, and has helped me increase my productivity! I like the look of the new GUI introduced in the Microsoft Office 2007 suite. It's nice and pleasing to the eye. At first when I used the new Word 2007, I was frustrated. It was hard for me to figure out how to accomplish simple tasks because of the new GUI and the way the navigation bars were organized. I've been using Microsoft Office 2007 for months, and I'm pretty used to it! I can easily accomplish whatever I'm trying to create. From a simple resume, to a cover letter. It's easy! For new users it may be frustrating, I suggest you keep working with it, and you will find that it's actually simple to use. It has a lot of newer features and templates that allow you to make great documents and presentations!

SmileyXX: That's strange. If you haven't done so yet, I suggest you reinstall Microsoft Office 2007. Go to the Office2007.com website, redownload the setup files, and re-activate your serial number.

Do you have enough RAM? You can have a minimum of 256 MB RAM, but Microsoft recommends 512 MB RAM. You must also have Windows SP2 or a later Operating System installed.

I don't know if you are asking me because its so slow for me but I have 1.5gb of SD-DDR (now ancient and painfully slow, this was before DRR1) ram.
I really do like the GUI, I just wish they had the option for menus as well.
The ribbon look isn't to bad but I have troubles finding things where I used to find them before, it looks as if they've taken stuff out.. I dunno, if I had a higher resolution screen I am sure I would like it better than I do now.

All in all, I am still sticking with Open Office until I can get a new computer or a major upgrade.
I love the buttons though, they look awesome.
