The HP dragon is really just for ppl who what something a bit more portable than a desktop. Even if they thought it is really suitable to buy one, it would be big blow to the pockets... Thats why we should be thanking the 31 sites giving away dragons!! ![]()

| I'm slightly disillusioned with HP ever since my roommate had a HP that broke after a month or two. Then again, he also broke his computer last year and had to get his newest one fixed already, so I suppose it's more of a question the roommate, not the company thing. I heard today in Principles of Engineering how Japanese auto makers adopted standards of within 6 standard deviation (very, very low error allowed) that made US automakers attempt for the same reliability. It would be awesome if all technology was held to that standard.

What JackalsNoses friend broke? That could be everything: software errors, hardware that isn't working, the laptop felt, etc. Don't judge a company because there was happened something that was not nice for you/your friend. Even if you buy from the best company, which don't exist, you also can get hardware errors or other stuff. That's what I think...

I have an HP Pavilion dv9000 series laptop and I love it. In the year and a half or so that I've been borrowing it from my mom, I haven't had a single issue with it, compared to the custom desktop that I received that had a bad motherboard in it when it arrived and 5 months later the power supply had to be replaced. I have a lot of friends and family that use HP computers and they have outlasted any other system they have had.

They have chose well! I was and still am a big fan of Hewlett Packard, although I don't have a notebook or desktop of them. I think they weren't selling desktops and notebooks five/six years ago?

Hewlett Packard hardware doesn't exist. It's just hardware of other companies, hp don't create hardware, they design the outside of the desktop or notebook and add hardware they buy and sell.
