Default Comments on the HP pavillion TX2000z?

Hello everyone,

I've browsed through this forum and i want to ask everyone's opinion about the HP TX2000z.

I'll be using this notebook for UNI and home. But I keep thinking to myself that the 12.1 inch screen is small (but then i comfort myself saying: "at least it will be portable"). I really like the whole design(especially the swivel touch screen) and the specs but is it worth it all?

I am planning to buy a notebook at the end of the year. Please comment about this notebook, and if possible recommend other swivel touchscreen notebooks (maybe with a bigger screen?)

Thanks in advance!

Default tx2000z- solid notebook

Hey there, I'm actually reviewing a tx2000z and really like it so far. If you're not too demanding on graphics (3d graphics) this machine is fine.
It's very solid and "inking" notes in tablet mode is a huge improvement over HP's previous model, the tx1000z.

The small screen can be a burden, but you have to balance your needs for screen size and portability. If you really like the portability of a small screen, you can always get a larger external monitor.
The touchscreen is very cool, but one thing I noticed is you didn't mention using it as a tablet and inking. If you're not going to use the digitizer, then I don't recommend buying a tablet.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.

I heard there's fingerprint security and handwriting recognition in 9 languages. And it has voice recognition too. Is that true?? O.O

Yes there is fingerprint security and like all Vista machines there is voice recognition, but your mileage will vary on how useful it is.

Default Why Intel?

Glad to hear we were helpful and that you liked the tx2000 when you saw it. Just curious as to why you want an Intel processor? The tx2000 series won't be getting one anytime soon.

The new AMD Puma tech in the tx2500z is really amazing compared to the tx2000.
