I joined somewhere about a week ago, and part of the reason was so I could review this site and its community. I think that I may need some help doing so, so I'm asking for input.

What do you guys think about Notebooks.com?

I love the notebooks.com forums personally, the community here is great and we all share the same passions for technology.

i must agree

all the other sites had their contests, and i kinda entered, lost, then left
but i really do like this site, and its one that i'll definitely hang around no matter who wins ^__^

I've entered this one and another which I didn't win, thankfully I have my speed back and I'm not stuck on 128kbps anymore.

I really don't know if I have a chance at the others, this out of all of the contests has been the best, most fair contest so far!

Well the review was only partly because of the contest; I decided to comment on each site. I was just asking for input on this one because I figured it would help me think of a place to start my post on it. I've had some writers block since yesterday, and I find the best way to deal is to ask what other people would do.

Personally I haven't heard of this place until the contest. But I looked at the main site, and it's really chock full of useful hardware information, mainly computers.

There's tips and tutorials, COUPONS (excellent, I can save up in 2 years and buy a secondhand laptop XD) and the forum, DUH.

I'm reading on a lot of Xavier's notebook posts, and it's really informative. Easy to follow, that's a big plus!

And last but not least, the forum. 'Nough said

The community is becoming big, but it's still to talk with all these people. Not only about hardware or technology. I made some friends here. I'm glad I joined this community!

The video about the dragon was perfect!

Hey, I just joined. Funny how I thought this was going to be nice and all, only to stumble upon really nasty spam posts everywhere.

That's just sad.

I'm sure there are lots of people who would be interested in moderating the place, or even installing or upgrading forum software to deal with the infection.

I really want to be an avid member in the forums, I just felt I had to say that somewhere.
