Maybe the version they are giving away on the web site uses the list or retail price, plus this version doesn't have everything the prize package contains. |

| You would be stupid to choose for a $2000 if you can get a chance to win the $5000 notebook! ![]() However, it's a nice deal, $2299 but I can't simply afford this. |

| Well its ok for its basic features i guess. 2GB ram?? a bit flimsy for the dragon... but at least the 20" screen is still there =D |

| Being a college student starting in July, I won't be able to afford one in that case. I just hope my T60 stops it's habitual breaking before it's warranty expires next year. I've had it for less than two years, and it's broken twice, one hard drive failure, one fan problem, one power problem where it stopped turning on and then started working a couple of hours later. I hope the Dragon isn't cursed with IBM's problems...

| At least you have a laptop... I'm sharing the home desktop! But i might get a laptop later when i go to uni... One question, are laptops a lot better than desktops? Or are they really just a portable desktop? Need these answers before i buy a new one later ![]() |

| Depends on the age, desktops are generally better, especially at things like video/sound/media. Laptops are still primarily for work, like taking notes. The dragon, however, is like a desktop, completely beastly at evertyhing (except battery life)
