Default Thinking about running Ubuntu Linux?

This seems like a good place to put this topic,
i started this because i didnt see any other threads where people could talk about all the advantages and disadvantages of this version of linux
i see one other person asked about it but this is more just a general topic for anyone thinking of getting it
so ill start- i had ubuntu for a while, mostly out of curiosity, and i must say its really efficient
but something about it just feels like its not as user-friendly as windows
pros:
its really fast-i didnt have any problems with my comp going slow
you dont have to defrag
setup is easy
you can run the really cool effects like compiz if you have a good video card (i cant use)
the support forums will help with anything, the people are really nice

cons:
some programs can be a pain to install
some video cards seem to have problems running compiz
the toolbars look a bit flat by default
some tasks dont have GUIs so you have to do them through terminal
anyone else have anything to add?

so many people like linux, if they made a better and new version of it (not saying that its bad now) and put a price on it, I think they would get a little business

I personally have tried ubuntu Hardy Heron (8.04) on my computer, I didn't have any options for the graphics because my computer is too old but I tried it on a friends and let me just tell you this, I LOVE the interface, the graphics and the features are sweeeeet! There are still a few bugs in the system such as print screen doesn't work when in a drop down list but people work on those bugs every day - as in, work on fixing them

I love ubuntu and when I grow up I plan to mar... I plan to burn a copy for all my friends.. yeah, burn a copy, that will make sense.. lol

If windows ever goes extremely downhill, you might see these OS's on Dell's and HP's.

Did you know the owner of Dell uses Linux as his main OS, that's pretty amazing considering the market!

Well, nothing wrong with that. I actually think it's a good idea to be flexible XD

haha, true - just because its free doesn't mean they can't use it on retail pcs though. They just use windows at the moment because of its market share. They can't use OS X, so they would use Linux (or whatever is out at the time) if Windows really went down hill
