I heard some companies are using old drivers for Vista, causing massive compatibility problems.
I think they were Dell.... and HP. Not sure about the latter though.

It's not the manufactures that have to be sure the drivers are the latest ones. That's up to the customers, I guess. You also update your graphics drivers so why can't you upgrade your vista? Updates are free...

Not really, they can (hide) the tihng about old drivers so they don't lose money.
Some graphic drivers might not have updates, and there's possibility that old drivers (which weren't made for Vista, btw) are incompatible and will cause crashes. I'm not sayiing that happened before, there's just the possibility.
