If that was the reason, then Xavier must told this in the thread. I mean I spend about 7 days about 6 hours in this forum. if it was told in the beginning a charity or someother organisation would win, i shouldn't waste all these hours. I read more then 20 times the word full potential and quality post.
Did you read the rules? It was on the first post... <_<

You didn't waste it. Or are you those people that don't plan on staying?
I personally had fun and actually learned a lot of new things. Although I didn't win I won't make anyone else feel bad. I don't agree with decision, but I respect that it was very well-thought out and that's what counts.

And by the way, no one really NEEDS this badass laptop.

What is in the rules must be followed, even by admins.
I was planning to stay if someone won that realy need the power of the dragon and that was not only me. Many others.

Default Ideas for our Next Contest?

If you didn't win this contest, please check out 31DaysOfTheDragon for another chance to win. Also,

I'm trying to line up more contest and want to mix things up a bit.
What kind of notebooks/prizes would you want to win?
Also, what kind of contest would you like to see next time?

Afcourse Xavier had the right the give it to bboy, afcourse!

What I mean, you are planning to give a new notebook away. Someone who will need full potential of it.
But next time you can't give away a dragon. You will have to give away a mid-range one. One that bboy would help. The one that win the next contest will have a not-so-good-as-the-dragon notebook but will need the power of the dragon. See what I mean?

About the next contest at other sites.
I entered already 8 and I don't think entering some more would let me win on other sites. Thousands of people are entering. And no, i don't have luck in life.

Xavier didn't break the rules, in what twisted reality did you get this idea?!
I didn't notice bboy Daniel's entry until now, but I think doing it for the club so kids my age won't get in trouble is a very good cause. Something I can only hope to do in the future.

And Xavier, is it possible to have a contest with a portable prize? I have a portable music player, a portable communication device (a pencil or a cell phone, call it what you will), a portable flash drive, everything but a computer. It'd be nice if there were a contest for that... and it wouldn't hurt to have those backpacks with those solar panels that can charge up the computer

This sentence:

We want the HP HDX to go to a good home where it’ll be used to its full potential and to someone that could really use it. If you just need a basic notebook for email and Web surfing the HP HDX isn’t for you. (exactly were the winner needs this for, lol!!) If you can afford to buy one of these things on your own, please go and buy one from HP. If you can imagine the HP HDX changing your life or work for the better and consider yourself a tech enthusiast, then please read on.

they just mean that it could have gone to someone who would use the dragon to its full potential rather than just making music on it- some of us would use it for games more than a playstation or whatever, and watch movies on it more than a dvd player, and use it to travel around more than using dialup- and use all the features this notebook has that others dont

bboy idea sounds maybe better but then give him some normal HP, like a 15.4" notebook with normal specs.
