I really didn't like the entry system of the the Greenbutton.com.To enter in their contest, you must have registered with them before 28th April,2008.you can't win if you join now.New entrants (joining after 28th April) aren't allowed. As they are not allowing new members to take part, they have only 1 valid contest entry so far.Think about the odds of winning. If we would have registered there before 28th April, we could be able to participate. That person is really very lucky that he doesn't even have anyone to compete with him & will win hands down as he has the only valid entry.

like jkontherun.com.

they asked all these personal questions which only people who read all their blogs would know.
i doubt new people have time to do all that.
They shouldn't have done that as they won't have to sponsor the prizes nor the shipping from their own pockets.Everything has been provided to them from HP.They should've given more people atleast a chance but.....

Hi my name is Abhijith. My father is a graphics designer. He is the owner/worker of his small office. My father is at work all the time ,if he goes to work at 8a.m. in the morning he only comes back at 12 a.m.. He goes to work even on holidays. This is because of a financial crysis and so we can't afford to buy any laptop. So getting this laptop would help him to spend more time with us and hopefully he would be able to come home early.

Very nicely done.I'm going to support your statement over there right now although i know it won't be able to change their rules. But it needs to be discussed anyways.

so they saying you had to help build the site in order to do the contest?

No, you had to be part of the community. They don't want people who just signed up for the sake of signing up to win.
Edit: Btw, he also said that members helped make the rules. So that counts as contribution. Don't flame at them, I'd agree, even though it's unfair <_< I have never heard of that place before.
