Default Apple Macbook Pro

Probably one of the best laptops invented. Slim, fast, good looking, and even more. It now has the new MAC OSX Leopard which many people try to get on a pc, which i dont really think runs well. It has many great programs like garage band and adium which is for im services. As i have read and looked through forums, I have never seen people complaining about the macbook pro. Yes at first it was buggy as ive read, but I think they fixed it. Now you dont really plan to play games on this computer because 1- macs dont really have that many games and 2- its made for mostly like image editing, video editing, and things like that. Another thing that pops out to a lot of people is the price. Everyone wants a mac and say its so o very good, and if you compare the macbook pro, and some other laptops, the macbook pro wont look that expensive for all that it can do. I have seen many other laptops that go past this price and dont seem better. And last, on a 17-inch MacBook Pro, the battery life will go on for 4.5 hours unlike some which go for about 2

Mac OSX Tiger is old, Leopard is the new one

As for gaming on the MacBook Pros, you can run heavy duty games such as Crysis on them, you just need boot camp to boot windows - the actual hardware is strong enough for gaming though.

I am actually confused what this post is for lol!

But you are still running it on the mac - apple is a hardware focused company.
and I meant, why did you post this, like, what was the purpose of this post

fair enough.

Soon game companies such as EA (who've already started) will produce mainstream games for both Mac and PC. Mac needs to get their market share up a little bit more

ya they already have let out some games and are gonna post out even more, but I dont think there will be alot of people who actually play it since the biggest reason people get macs are for the like garage band and the imovie all that stuff

You can run windows @ leopard desktop or notebook (like the macbook pro, imac, and so on) but don't know if you can run Leopard at a normal computer.

However, many popular games only support Windows, so that's the reason why I don't switch...

Well sorta, but that's the point, Apple have flexibility because of the way they have gone around their business.
You are still running windows on the mac, you still have the mac hardware, you are not playing it in the mac os.
Even so, that's not Apples fault, that's the game companies fault.

On the other hand - Direct X, that is owned/made(?) by Microsoft, Microsoft won't allow Apple to use that because Microsoft needs to stay where they are strongest, the gaming market.

OpenGL is still very good, I haven't done a comparison but I have heard that OpenGL is better than DirectX but not used as much, not as well known. Dunno..

You can run a hacked projectx86 version of mac on your pc but it is illegal, doesn't support driver updates and is really slow and buggy - not worth it IMHO.
