As long as we're on a roll with security software, consider installing and updating both SpywareBlaster & SpyGuard to prevent the installation of spyware and other potentially unwanted software:

Then there is my favorite, WinPatrol. Scotty has been the "Windows Watchdog" for 10 years. There is a Plus version (one-time license fee) but the free version of WinPatrol works well. I don't think the recent additions are detailed but you can get a good idea here:
