Hehe. There was a thing on Digg, and even featured on DiggNation a bit ago that found that about 60% or so of Photoshop users were pirates.
Not at surprising considering the cost of the software. $600 for Photoshop alone? Eesh. Of course it's cheaper to bundle and get one of the Web Premium or whatever packs but cheap as in at least $1000. Eesh again.
It was fun to note that Photoshop might not be nearly as popular if it hadn't been for pirates. Fun to toss around in yer noggin for a bit.
Also the part where the alternative, GIMP, was mentioned as well as the whole idea of using GIMP instead of Photoshop with it being called GIMP and all. LOL!
Looking forward to owning a LEGAL copy by getting Web or Design Premium for about $500 through JourneyEd though. If I ever manage to get that much cash. Ironically, probably won't be able to take advantage of the student discount until after school and I have a real job but then I'll have to pay full price.
