My freelance work is what covers the bills not covered by Finacial aid and student loans, so having the power of this computer would vastly improve my work flow, both for class assignments and design work. This computer has just the kind of attributes I need in a computer.

The entertainment abilities would be a nice bonus. Games and movies to blow off a little steam at the end of the day or while I am monitoring the computer lab where I work for my work study money would make things a little more fun.

In short, my computer is my life and the better the computer, the better I can make my life.

I am also a big fan of HP's products. All of my present computer equipment, as well as my digital camera, are all from HP, as is the printer on my wife's Mac. I am very familier with the quality of the products and if I had access to more of their products I would love to write about them for any website that would publish me.
Ric is not a traditional college student. He was not able to go to college until these last few years. He is married and raising a teenage stepson that is on the verge of graduating high school himself. While he enjoys the entertainment aspect of any computer, his computers are the heart and soul of his career. His family has stuggles as he and his wife are both non traditional, full time students and the only real money they bring in for day to day expenses is what he can generate from his freelance work. From what I understand about this contest, you are supposed to explain why someone "deserves" this machine. As we all enjoy playing games and downloading videos can we really say that we "need" these things. Ric has chosen a career, he is getting an education and he is trying to make things better for his family's future. In today's economy and job market you cannot continue to look for a good paying job. You have to make your own. This machine will be a huge step in Ric's journey to provide for his family and begining a full time career. Who knows, maybe if he becomes successful enough, he will someday be providing jobs for the next wave of Graphic Designers to come . He would be an excellent choice for the promotion of this product.
