You can't base your assumption based on just this alone. Windows has way more patches than any other OS.
And Unix is actually very secure. Mac OS X is based on Linux.
I don't know about Mac, but for Linux, you need to find a virus, download it, untarball it, and run as root. Then... well... you'd kinda get what you deserve <_<
