From the moment I laid eyes on this beast I knew I was smitten. From its clean lines to its integrated touches I know deep down inside I have met my first true system, the HP Pavilion HDX Entertainment PC. The ‘Dragon’ as they call it, defines perfection in many ways, there are no losses but consistent gains. A complete desktop that fits the needs of an individual like me who wants it all but refuses to be shackled to their desktop. ‘Dragon’ personifies mobility and power that will surely be the life of the party wherever I go. If I ever saw a computer for the 21st century or defining example of the near future in computing, this is it!

What makes the HP Pavilion HDX Entertainment PC so great? Is it the immersive 20.1 diagonal WUXGA High-Definition HP Ultra Brightview widescreen? Is it the monster Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000? Is it the mind boggling 4 GBs of DDR2 System Memory? The gamers’ heavenly bliss 512 MB NVIDIA Geforce 8800M GTS or the store your entire life 500 GB SATA Hard drive? It’s all of that and more! The fact that Dragon exudes productivity, I will finally have interest in doing work and meeting those deadlines, the fact that it comes with the latest and greatest from Microsoft (Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit and Office 2007) is more than enough incentive to put on a shirt and tie. The HP Pavilion HDX Entertainment PC comes ready out of the box to meet a variety of needs. For me personally it’s the synergy that will be created between the two us, the ability to work in harmony and as a team to accomplish the goals I aim for, whether it’s typing a thesis or blowing up the planet and bringing complete order to the galaxy with a magnificent finish in one of my favourite games.

Productivity and Gaming are core features built in; the processor, the video card, memory and screen all make this a complete system, but HP has gone far beyond that in many ways. Software is a critical component and when I look into the array of choices that come bundled with the HP HDX Entertainment PC I know I have stumbled upon something truly awesome. I am going to admit I do have my coach potato moments and HP made it even more comfy with a fantastic set of movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean, but what makes it even better is they are Blu-Ray DVDs that will bring the movie theater experience into my living room with 1080p goodness. When I want to get intense and do major battle, Gear of War is there to get me intensified and ready for battle in addition to Flight Simulator X series for persons like me who have had the buzz for the cock pit more than a few times. Creating memories is something I have a passion for, when family and friends are over or for those times I have traveled to faraway places on the island or abroad. Pictures, videos, music; Dragon not only provides a platform for creativity but a personal repository for managing and sharing my digital memories. Hey, with 500 GBs of storage, I should not be seeing any ‘you are running low on hard disk space’ anytime soon.

Only words can describe what a magnificent package Hewlett Packard has put together. It’s my time to be the center of attention and envy of all; the ‘Dragon’ magnifies this opportunity. I completely and wholeheartedly know this is the system to make ‘my digital world a better place’. It’s not about the fundamentals, it’s about life changing experiences and the HP HDX ‘Dragon’ gets me ready for it.
